LT. Greenwald began his aviation career as a Navel Aviation Officer Candidate. Progressing to a USNCC Gold Wing Aviator, and retired professional aviator with a combined Naval and civilian flight time over 23,000 flight hours with emphasis as an aircraft commander in large jet airframes
LT. Greenwald entered the Naval Sea Cadet Corp in August 2009 with the Cincinnati Division, was assigned as Operations Officer in March 2010, and selected as 2010 Columbus Division Officer of the Year.
With extensive aircraft instructor background, LT. Greenwald developed and instructed the basic air course at Camp Perry.
LT. Greenwald was designated as Executive Officer for the Columbus Squadron in Jan. 2011, where he fostered a relationship with VFA 87 aboard the USS George W Bush (CVN 77).
In July of 2015, LT Greenwald was appointed Commanding Officer of the Cincinnati Division, and fostered a second relationship with the USS Gravely (DDG 107) and was appointed Executive Officer of Region 5-7, where he continues to serve in these billets.
LT Greenwald is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelors Degree in Communication Analysis. LT. Greenwald resides in Cincinnati with his wife, Marina.
